*General comments*
	Ted Elliott, a well-known Queensland mineral collector, donated his collection as the centrepiece of the "TerrEstrial Centre", which houses Georgetown's visitor centre. It's an extensive collection of specimens from many of Australia's prominent base metal mines, principally Mount Isa and Broken Hill, but with other material from around the world including a few fossils such as large ammonites (curly shellfish).
