| Bolla Bollana Copper Smelter is quite interesting to explore, but unfortunately there is no interpretative signage to assist with understanding what had occurred in days gone by or to suggest that it was once an important part of South Australia's copper industry. The beehive shaped smelter was built in the 1890s to smelt copper ores brought from the mines at Yudnamutana, Daly and Wheal Turner by bullock wagon. At the time the area was home to Cornish miners. Nooldoonooldoona Water Hole is very picturesque and is a lovely place to spend a few hours. The water hole is used.... Remainder of the content is available on the CampGroundCorner CD | |
