| General comments | |
| A good range of facilities are available albeit a bit run down. There are free gas BBQs but if you want a campfire you will need to BYO firewood. ULP and diesel are available and you can have LPG gas bottles refilled. This area is 2WD accessible in dry weather conditions only. The campground is capable of accommodating 30 tents, 20 campertrailers at powered sites and a further 30 at unpowered sites. A small swimming pool is available for patrons. There is also a Café/restaurant and camel rides, quad bike rides, Harley rides, and helicopter flights to Kings Canyon are available. Souvenirs may also be purchased at the shop. The road to Kings Canyon passes along the southern side of the low lying George Gill Range which, over a distance of some 40–50 km, slowly rises to over 100 metres.... | Downsides | |
| Facilities work but are pretty dilapidated. Most campsites have little or no shade, so get in early to grab a good spot under a desert oak! Almost all of the fire places are simply rings of rocks, although there are one or two with “swingaway” cooking plates. The “kitchen facilities” attached to the shade house are pretty rudimentary and not well maintained or cleaned.
