| Spectacular rock formation with walks around the base, into gorges in the perimeter of the monolith, and up to the crest. Disabled access is only available to the "Base Walk". If you suffer from vertigo, don’t do the Summit Walk! Most of the Summit Walk is unguarded (ie no barriers, few handrails), so common sense is required. Whilst climbing to the top "is the thing to do", the Base walk (9 km) has a greater variety of sights (gorges, waterholes, weird sculptured surfaces etc), and does not impinge on Aboriginal sensitivities in the same way that walking to the summit does. It’s a good idea to start your walk early in the day, and take plenty of water and a hat! There are many sheer drops which are completely unfenced, so common sense is required. | Magnificent scenery on the "Base Walk" and the "Summit Walk". Explanatory boards on some aspects of Aboriginal culture, and wildlife. Periodic facilities around the base of the rock, including toilets near the "Summit Walk" carpark and halfway around the Base Walk (ie near the Sunrise viewing area), and the occasional seat to rest your weary legs.....
