| A plaque on the hut reads: This hut was built in 1925 by the Water Resources Conservation and Irrigation Commission at a cost of 90 pounds. It accommodated personnel who took stream flow readings at the gauging station on Buddong Creek. Stream flow measurements on the creek commenced in 1940 and were originally taken at the junction with the Tumut River. This station was established in June 1921 and operated until March 1977.
