General comments
Wave Rock is a 15 m high and 110 m long curved granite cliff formed by erosion, which looks like a wave just about to break. The cliff is actually the northern face of a large granite erosional remnant called Hyden Rock. Behind the “wave front” is a retaining wall about halfway up the rock’s backslope which follows the contour and collects rainwater running over the rock and directs it to a small dam; this was constructed in 1951 by the Western Australian Water Authority.

Upsides
