General comments
The Kiandra Mining Display is located on the Kiandra-Cabramurra road close to the junction with the Snowy Mountains Highway. It contains a selection of equipment from the early gold mining days that created Kiandra, and has basic picnic facilities. History on the area
A gold rush occurred in this area in the 1870’s. Early on some new chums asking about good spots were jokingly directed to the most unlikely spot.
