General comments
A former homestead, Mt Dare Hotel offers a central point from converging tracks North, South, East and West and is the only source of fuel, tyres and workshop facilities for hundreds of kilometers, situated in a National Park park rules apply to fire wood collection, fire arms, pets etc. Two wheel drive access on good.... How do I get there
Travel north through Oodnadatta on Oodnadatta Track, turn right onto access road through Hamilton Station, turn right via Pedirka Ruins or continue on via Eringa Water Hole and Bloods Creek, about 240 km. Alternatively south from Finke via New Crown and Charlotte Waters 210 km or south from Alice Springs via Old Andado (Binns Track) 410 km. West from Birdsville via the Simpson and Dalhousie 550 km. East via Oodnadatta Track from Marla on the Stuart Highway then north 410 km.
