When Internet Explorer
blocks active content, it displays a message to screen and sounds an alert.
Below is what the message looks like.
Note that the map and
text bar are not visible.

You can temporarily
allow ‘active content’ by left mouse clicking on the yellow bar and then
select ‘Allow Blocked Content’. At this point you can also read a Microsoft
article about the risks involved in allowing ‘active content’ to run.

A longer term solution
is to allow ‘active content’ to run from the CD. The Microsoft theory is
that malicious content will generally come from the internet, so Internet
Explorer allows you to allow ‘active content’ to run from CD and the local
hard disc, whilst still providing protection whilst browsing the internet.
To allow ‘active
content’ to run from the CD, select the ‘Tools’ menu in Internet Explorer
and then select ‘Internet Options’. On the ‘Advanced’ tab, scroll through
the entries to find the security list, Select ‘Allow active content to run from CDs on my computer.’
