Alpine Weather

Weather in Alpine areas can change rapidly at any time of year. In winter time (May – October) weather conditions can be severe. Access may be difficult or impossible due to snow and ice. Some roads and National park areas are subject to seasonal closure. Exercise caution if going to alpine regions in winter, check road conditions with the appropriate authorities, and always carry suitable weatherproof clothing in your vehicle.
